Rich Slatcher
Ph.D., Associate Professor

Dr. Slatcher  is an Associate Professor in Social Psychology and Health Psychology at Wayne State University. He previously graduated from University of Richmond and finished Ph.D. program in Social and personality Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses onclose relationship and their impacts on health. As a social and health psychologist, he uses variousresearch methodologies including structured laboratory experiments, group interactions, daily diary studies, and behavioral observation in his work. Since 2002, Dr. Slatcher has authored and co-authored more than 34 peer-reviewed publications, and has served as PI or co-PI in 7 national funded projects addressing close relationship, biological processes and physical health.
