Douglas Barnett, Ph.D.

Director of Psychology Clinic
Dr. Barnett is anAssociate Professor in Clinical Psychology and a Licensed Psychologist.  In addition, he currently serves as the Director of Psychology Clinic program at Wayne State University. After receiving doctorate degree at University of Rochester in 1993, he has dedicated to the various clinical psychological research topics including promoting social, emotional, and scholastic adjustment among children who are at risk to stressors of poverty, child maltreatment, or developmental disorders. Particularly, Dr. Barnett is interested in how parents foster resilience outcomes, and how to use motivation theory-based interventionsto promote healthy development among at risk children and their parent.
